The CAQ's committee of so-called wise men is an insult to the entire trans and non-binary community. We must not take this attack on our communities lightly. The normalization of transphobic discourse is leading to increased violence against our trans and non-binary siblings around the world. Our hearts are heavy with the memory of Nex Benedict, Briana Ghey, and all the other young people murdered for their identities.
On March 31, let's come together on Trans Day of Vengeance to demonstrate our discontent with the current situation and the government's complicity. The demonstration will start in front of 600 rue Fullum, where the Ministry of the Family has its offices. It's also where a thousand trans activists and allies routed a hundred anti-trans activists this fall.
